HCCI is more than an organization, it is a movement born from lived experience.
As a young refugee, I, Heri Tulia Luc, faced immense hardship, isolation, and lack of opportunity growing up in a refugee camp. But instead of giving up, I chose to rise, using every challenge as a lesson and every setback as motivation.
At just 19 years old, I began mobilizing fellow youth, teaching practical skills, and creating safe spaces to ensure others would not endure the same struggles alone. What started as a small effort to teach tailoring and basic skills has grown into a community initiative transforming lives.
